Britain’s a brilliant place

For a small island, it’s got a lot to offer. Buzzing cities and tranquil countryside. Constantly changing, yet rooted in history. Cool cultures and quirky traditions. It’s a nation of contradictions.

A few years ago, I set myself a challenge to learn about it more. I’d walk out of my door and keep walking until I reached the sea. My compass walks.

South to Brighton. A zig-zag route through the 100 acre wood and past frackers in Balcombe.

North to the Norfolk coast. Taking on snakes and Stevenage’s roundabouts.

This year, I attempted to walk west to Bristol. Unfortunately, I was walking wounded, so I didn’t make it the full way. But there’s no such thing as a bad walking experience, just good stories to tell you guys.

I’ve also got some great stories of Britain’s weird and wonderful traditions and other stories about why I love this country so much.
